First High End Product I've Ever Ripped!

Today I ripped a box of 2010 Topps Triple Threads that I bought from a LCS. It was my 3rd full box I've ever ripped and it was my best experience, baseball card wise, ever. To some it up I got my regular base cards with the Ty Cobb Sepia as the best base card.
The best thing was the Relics and Auto. I pulled a Daniel McCutchen auto /50 which was pretty bad for my first pack of a high end product. By the way the auto is up for trades/sell. The best thing I pulled today was not the auto, but the relic.
I pulled a Platinum 1/1 All Star Game Jersey Patch card of Zach Duke. The Card looks amazing and if I have the time I will scan it tomorrow.
Thanks for reading, and keep collecting,

Alex's Pick for the World Series

It's the playoffs, who doesn't get excited for the playoffs? Anyway I am going to share with you my picks for who will win the ALCS and the NLCS and finally the World Series.
First off the ALCS: The Rangers vs. The NY Yankees
The series is tied at 1-1 but I think that the Yankees are going to win in 7 games.
Cliff Lee, a former Mariner, will beat the Yankees in both of his appearances but the Yankees will win all the rest of the games he doesn't start.

Now for the NLCS: The Giants vs. The Phillies
Tim Lincecum's gem last night versus Roy Halladay showed how the series will be, close but pitching will dominate. I'm going to take the Giants in 6, this is a bold move because Philly has a nasty pitching rotation and a good offense but I just think that the Giants team together is one of the best in the league right now.

On to the World Series: San Fransisco vs The New York Yankees
Tim Lincecum will face off against CC Sabathia in game 1 and this is a tough one but I'm going to say the Giants beat the Yankees in game 1 but the Yankees will win in every other game they don't face Tim Lincecum. My pick Yankees in 6.

Hello Blogosphere Anyone Out There?!

First off is there anyone out there?! I know I haven't posted in a long time because not many people are looking at my blog. But anyway as usual I have been collecting my baseball cards, mostly A&G and 2007-2009 Bowman.
Recently I have got into the business of prospecting. It's a fun way to collect baseball cards while also trying to make some money off of it. Because of my low budget I only have bought a few cards.
Some of these cards include a Mike Trout auto, Michael Pineda refractor, a Yonder Alonso auto, a Grant Green auto/refractor lot, and a Greg Halman Sterling Auto . I'll keep you guys updated with how much money I make. So far I have spent about 50 dollars on the cards above.
Thanks for Reading, and keep collecting.

The All Star Game and Fanfest

Im in California for the week for the all star game and its fanfest. And I want to describe the experience.
At the fanfest there were many cool booths and autograph stations but the baseball cards interested me the most.
One guy had a booth right nexts to Topps booth. He owned a card shop in the P.A. and I asked him a few questions and saw some of his cards but what really interested me was the Stephen Strasburg chrome and regular bowman rookie cards. He offered them both to me for 75 dollars which was a great deal but wait there was more! He also threw in the Jason Heyward bowman rookie card for free.
I was also able to go to the All Star Game which was one of the best baseball games I have ever attended. The game was very close but as a American League fan I was sort of disappointed.
I got to see Ichiro play being in the right field bleachers, aka the Patio.
Overall the experience, since it was my first all star game I ever attended, was amazing.

I'm Thinkin about Collecting Football Cards

So I was thinking today that I should get into some football cards along with my baseball cards.
Any thought.
I watch football games (Mostly Seahawks) and I know about the stars and up coming star rookies.
I also know about Panini and there problems/ and pros, and how Topps dominates the lower market.
So I think the next time I go to my card shop I'll buy a few football packs, along with some Allen and Ginter. LOL

My First 2010 Allen and Ginter Packs

Well I bought 3 packs of A&G today and thought that it was pretty solid. No I didn't pull a Jack and the Beanstalk relic let alone a relic/auto all together but I did get some cool cards. Here are some cool cards I got.

Robinson Cano base card,
Randy Winn SP,
Brandon Allen Black Boarder Mini,
Neil Walker Mini,
and Best of All a Albert Pujols A&G Back Mini

It's a love it or hate it product and I love it.

Tonights Mariners vs. Yankees Game

Because I am a Yankees fan and a greater Mariners fan it can sometimes be hard to determine which team I'm rooting for when the teams play each other.
For tonights game though I'm rooting for the Mariners to win.
First of all, Cliff Lee is pitching against Phil Hughes and I want Cliff Lee's trade value to go up by beating a talented Yankees team and a future Yankees Ace.
Second, I want to see Russell Branyan have a good 2010 Mariners debut after being traded for a few days ago.
The game starts @ 4:05 PT or 7:05 ET and is on FSN Northwest for you people that live in the Pacific Northwest.

My New Blog and A Little About Me

I am a Baseball fanatic. I live in the Seattle area and go to about 10 Mariners games a year. I am a baseball fan and a baseball card collector. I will be posting updates on important events in MLB and rarely MILB. I will be posting stuff like Baseball card previews and reviews along with pack breaks and rarely box breaks.
